RMR (Resting Metabolic Rate) Test:
$100 + HST Learn what your Resting Metabolic Rate is. This is measured by the V02 Master through gas exchange. The test includes a 5 minute settle-in phase and a 10 minute test phase (15 minutes total). Total time including setup, test, and discussion is 30-45 minutes. There is no exercise component to this test. You will be completely at rest during this test.

V02 Max Test:
$135 + HST This test will determine your maximum oxygen uptake at your peak cardiorespiratory effort. This test is conducted on a Smart Bike, Air Bike, or Treadmill. Test time is between 18-22 minutes (5 minute warmup, 8-12 minute step test, and 5 minute cooldown). Total time including setup and test takes 30-45 minutes.

Combined RMR and VO2 Max Tests: $200 + HST
Your session will start with an RMR Test (15 minutes in duration). After the RMR test you'll do a VO2 Max test (18-22 minutes). Total time including setup, tests, and discussion is 1 hour.
Combined (Hybrid) Lactate + VO2 Max Test
$221.25 + HST

This step test is performed on a bike or treadmill.
The participant is fitted with the VO2 Master Analyzer before we start the test. We start with a 15 minute warmup at low intensity. Ventilatory and heart rate data is collected alongside blood lactate measurements. Blood is taken from the subject's finger via pin prick (we use sterile, single use safety lancets). The test starts at low intensity, with gradual increases in either speed or wattage every five minutes. Blood lactate is measured every five minutes via pin prick before each step increase. Once we surpass LT2 (lactate threshold 2) we switch to a VO2 max protocol with 1 minute steps that increase until we reach max effort.
This combined test including setup can take up to 1 hour.
90 minutes is allotted for the appointment.

Your session will start with a Resting Metabolic Rate Test (15 minute duration). Following the RMR test, you will perform a Lactate + VO2 Max Test (40-50 minutes). 2 hours are allotted for the combined tests - this includes set up, downtime between the RMR and Hybrid Lactate + VO2 Max Test, and discussion. You will receive two reports: one for RMR, and another for the Hybrid Lactate + VO2 Max Test.
